Im showimg apricot standards here in England and they have Finnish relatives from the Joiners Quality lines. My boy is Shanpave Bright Sunshine (Merry), nearly 4 now and his pretty daughter Miss Marie Gold Of Shanpave, they will both be at Crufts next year and if any of you come to England come and meet us! Merry loves agilty and is becoming much more consistent, Marigold is only 15 months but will do more training as she gets older.




Marigold is undocked with a naturally quite short tail and I have been considering showing her abroad, It's very hard showing apricots in England but we have done quite well, I think it would be fun to try showing in a colour championship but not at all sure how to go about it.
We also have two white poodles who have been shown,my older girl, Millicent is my husband Bob's agilty dog and the youger Amber will we think be talented given time to grow up.

Nice to see that the English discussion is also catching some wind. Guess I haven't introduced my silver mini, Jaro, even in the Finnish section but well, better start off somewhere.



Jaro (FIN CH Olymbinar's Bunias Oriental) is a 4-year-old silver miniature (41,5 cm at withers) and my first poodle. Our main hobby is agility in which we compete in class 3 (the highest of the three classes here in Finland). We haven't had much success yet but hopefully I'll be able to develop my handling skills, the dog's pretty much ready for some serious action and highlights.

Jaro is bred by Henni Lehtiranta (Olymbinar's poodles) and he's out of INT CH Manifique D'Argeant Gringo Star ex INT CH Olympia. We did some showing a few years back (he finished his title in 02/05) and also attended the Euro Dogshow in Tulln 2005. At the moment we only participate in the biggest international shows in Finland and of course the annual speciality show. Jaro has been showed in the continental clip since last summer.

Besides agility, Jaro's utmost favourites are swimming and lure coursing. We also train some obedience, though I'm not into it as much as Jaro is.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to introduce my poodles here, too


Onni (Trucker's Gambler Of Luck) is my first poodle and he is an apricot dwarf male (size 33cm). Onni is now 4 years old and he is retired from dog show's, because he's so skinny and thin. But one of his sisters really has succeeded in show rings - "Hannele" aka INT & FIN & EST & S & LV & LT & BALT CH Trucker's Got What U Need owned by Johanna Markola (kennel Voyeror's). This litter is bred by Sanna Koponen (Trucker's poodles) and it's out of INT & FIN & EST & LTU CH & LV CH & BALT CH JW-99 ESTW-02 BALTW-02 W-02 Hestebakkens Golden Rambler (from Denmark) x INT & FIN & EST & LV CH ESTW-99 BALTW-01 W-01-02 Backseat Driver's Vicky Lee.
Just last year we started agility, but right no we are having a break with that hobby. Maybe we're back in business later this year So right now Onni is just enjoying his life at home with his family.


And this is Finik wagging his tail in a dog show Finik (FIN CH RUS JCH Trucker's Quil Pri Que) is an apricot miniature (size 37c) male and right now he is 2 years old. This boy is also from kennel Trucker's and he's out of FIN CH NORDW-01 Eugenios Uno The Only Solitaire (from Norway) x Trucker's Featuring Gal. Finik was a puppy when he was sended to Russia as a stud and show dog. Unfortunately (or luckily to me) he didn't get all he's premolar teeths and he was bought back to Finland (with the RUS JCH titel and 3 BIS-placements ), because he couldn't anymore participate in Russian dog show's. When Finik arrived to Finland, his coat was really short, so we had to wait before he could go to dog show's. Waiting was worth it - last weekend Finik got his last CAC and he became Finnish Champion!
Finik is just learning how to live in Finland and with us, so we haven't started any other hobbies besides dog shows. Maybe agility and obedience would be good for this boy.. But not yet, not yet

Hi everyone!
This is my first message on this entire forum. I decided to combine my two interests: poodles and other cultures, that's why I chose to write here. I'm new with poodles, I have a black dwarf poodle female NUKA. Her kennel name is Executive Soft Spot. She's just five months now. I know that Nuka's sister Lilly (Executive Soft'n Sweet) moved to Denmark. Nuka here sends her love to Lilly if Lilly's new family ever reads this message. you can find her sister Molly (Executive Soft Delucion) if you go to the Gallery and there to the puppy section. They look the same, except for Molly's great grooming, I'm not quite there yet with my grooming skills. I'm very happy to see international interest in joining this forum. I love meeting people from other countries and especially dog people. Keep writing!

I'm just joined to this forum, so I'll introduce some of my poodles now.



This is Sergei (Ch. Moja Otrada Nils Airi Arabeska). He's my white toypoodle import from Russia. He's 5 years old and already finished his show career. Now he's just best friend of mine at home. Sergei is father of twelve puppies and some of them have achieved champion title as well.



This is my female import also from Russia. Her name is Natalia (Ch. Airi Arabeska Flame Of Love). Just now she's in maternity leave with her 10 days old puppies, but she will have comeback to showrings quite soon.
Natalia is very nice little girl... with very big ego

Enjoying a morning walk on Sunday.

LESSI, call name Lolita, imported from Russia, born January 1st 2004, she's an apricot as you can see.

She came to cheer up life as she was two years old - so she's a rescue Poodle. Her first owner wasn't the best possible, so she was timid and really shaggy at first. Her rough past can be seen on her still, but she's come a long way! I'm happy to witness the cheery everyday life she lives.

Lolita's geared with the most intelligent nature I know and there's probably very few things in this world she couldn't learn. Lolita loves to play with almost any kind of balls (yet her favourite is a small football) and fetch me all kinds of things. She's a natural hunter, at least if you ask her, and would love to chase game. Now that I've trained her, I've learned she isn't the best possible working Poodle available, but some simple tasks, such as retrieving me a dumbbell, are quickly done.

She's somewhat active creature, doing agility and obedience, sometimes tracking, learning new tricks (fast! ) and of keeping herself fit by running in the Finnish forests and fields. At the moment we don't hang out in the show ring (I don't prefer dog shows for certain reasons), but there's one heck of a debut coming... or not.

I think I should also introduce my poodles, Dico and Robin.



Dico, Sola's Miquel Angelo, is a harlekin dwarf poodle male borned on 6th of June 2007. Many people think Dico has a very special colour and that's one reason I bouhgt him.

Dico is a very nice and easy dog who always wants to play and learn something new. He loves long walks and delicious treats. Dico is just that kind of dog I have always thought a dog should be.

Dico is a little dog with a big heart and temperament.



Robin, Kiuks as his breeder called him, is a black poodle male borned on 17th of May 2005. I'm not sure if he is a dwarf or miniature poodle, but it doesn't matter to me because he is not in database and he is not going to the dog shows. He is just my lovely pet, a little teddy bear.

Robin is very friendly and nice dog and it's very easy to live with him. He's like a human mind; whatever I want him to do, he's always ready to do it. More than anything else Robin loves to go to the walk.

Robin is mom's little baby!

Frida (Mermix Hasta Manana) is a 20 months old silver standard poodle female. This wonderfull girl is my very first poodle, and really has shown me what is the perfect choice of breed for me.

At the moment our main hobbies are dog shows and agility. We'we been to 12 shows for now and Frida has acchieved 9 x CAC, 5 x BOB, 3 x BOS, 2 x CACIB, Finnish Winner -08 -title and she is (unofficially, the results haven't been released yet...) the top-winnig silver/apricot/red standard poodle in Finland year 2008.
In agility we're still rookies, but slowly, slowly we inprove. Frida has so (too!) much energy and will to work, run and fuss around that we often have to discuss if we co-operate or does Frida just run the obstacles by herself, screaming of joy like crazy... Atleast she is into it.

Frida just loves to run, so we'we also tried lure-coursing with her, and she really likes that too. We just need to wait for spring that Frida gets to chase that plastic-bag-bunny again.

And now I quit writing this before I write a novell...

And then there's Isa (Olymbinar's Ice Princess). She is a little silver miniature poodle female, 5 months of age. She's just the funniest little creature, allways going somewhere, playing or teasing Frida, who has incredible nerves and never gets mad at her. These two girls make a perfect couple of idiots.

Isa is living with me, but is really owned by her breeder 'till she's used for breeding (if she CAN be used, we'll see later). After one litter of puppies she will be moved to be officially my dog. (I don't remember the English word for 'sijoitusnarttu', but I hope you got the point.)

Isa is heading to dog shows and agility in the future, but now we're still learning the basics of life, playing and enjoying puppyage.
